I stepped into a gym after a five year hiatus. I must admit that I was dreading it all day. Not because I didn't want to go but because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to last the full session with the trainer. Good news! I made it the whole hour! My least favorite exercise was the sleigh (this is what the trainer called it). I had to pull a sleigh that had about 75 pounds of weight towards myself then push it back. I am not good with measuring distance but it felt like it was a mile away. I had to pull it via these big ropes whilst doing a squat (ouch). In the end, I enjoyed the experience and I cannot tell you how excited I am to be working out again and feeling those endorphins.
Gratitude On this last day of the blogging challenge I woke up feeling grateful. Grateful for the opportunity to participate in this challenge that forces me to find small parts of my day that stick out just enough to write about it. Grateful for waking up on this beautiful island on day two if our spring break vacation. Grateful for all the people I have around me everyday. Grateful for the opportunity I get to sit with the little humans and enhance their already wonderful minds. Grateful for my beautiful little family. And most importantly, grateful for this wonderful life.

It sounds like you slayed the sleigh! Get it girl!

Congrats on making it through the hour! Those small steps lead to big changes!
ReplyDeleteSo proud of you! I've been toying with the idea of joining the gym near my house. It is something that I always tell myself "Once I have more time, more money," but neither of those seems to come.
ReplyDeleteall the endorphins! I'm glad you made it (of course you did!) AND you're going back :-)
